Meet our family
Ridge is the founder and CEO of Classical Tutoring Company and has over eleven years of experience tutoring students at the world’s most selective secondary schools and universities. As a former homeschool student until age 13, Ridge specializes in advising families with middle and high-school students on how to develop a structured and rewarding educational experience outside of the conventional schooling system. Ridge also heads Ivy Entry’s college counseling practice, and recently, his students have matriculated to Yale, Columbia, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Duke, Northwestern, and University of Michigan.
Ridge is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School and a JD candidate at Columbia Law School. Ridge completed his undergraduate degrees in Applied Mathematics and Classics at Columbia University, and he graduated with Distinction in Classics from Phillips Exeter Academy.
Ridge Montes, CEO and Founder
Leo is the COO and a tutor at Classical Tutoring Company. Leo has worked extensively with students at both private and public schools in subjects ranging from history to college admissions. A Brooklyn native, Leo’s hobbies include soccer, reading about 19th-century history, and studying new languages. Leo earned a B.A. with Distinction (3.88 GPA) in History and minor in Business from Cornell University, attended Pembroke College, University of Cambridge as a visiting student, and obtained a CTLE certificate from the Teachers College, Columbia University.
Leo Catapano, COO
Josephine holds a Masters in Public Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she received her double licence en droit et philosophie, a selective dual-degree program that admits only 15 students per year. Josephine is trilingual (English, Spanish, and French), having received an A* on her English IGCSE and a perfect score on her DELE Intermedio. Josephine, a life-long overachiever who was designated an enfant surdoué and graduated two years early from Ecole Jeannine Manuel, has a passion for helping gifted students find their voice and chart their own path.
